SDSN Europe Conference on Sustainability and Competitiveness in Lisbon, Portugal

This high-level international conference explores the intersection of sustainability and economic competitiveness, aiming to redefine how sustainability (environmental, social, and governance) must be part of a competitive economic and business models. Participants plan to examine the challenges preventing sustainability from becoming integral to competitive strategies, such as limited financial incentives, leadership gaps, and political inertia, while also identifying actionable solutions for both the short and long term.

Structured across keynote addresses and panel discussions, the event brings together academic, business, and policy perspectives from Europe and beyond. Topics include the myths and realities of sustainable competitiveness, policy tools for sustainable organizations, the role of EU funding in driving innovation, and future directions for sustainability integration in business and governance.

The conference is organized by SDSN (Sustainable Development Solutions Network) branches from Portugal, Ireland, Europe, and the Mediterranean, with contributions from leading thinkers, innovators, and public figures across various sectors.
