Research for Policy seminar series

Join us on Wednesday 15 October, 11:00–12:15 at Maynooth University (hybrid format) for the latest in our Research for Policy seminar series.

We are pleased to welcome:

Prof. Brian Ó Gallachóir, Associate Vice-President of Sustainability at University College Cork and Director of MaREI – the SFI Research Centre for Energy, Climate and Marine
Ian Hughes, Research Officer at the Department of Education and Youth, who was on secondment to MaREI for several years

They will reflect on their experiences of connecting cutting-edge MaREI research to policy-making.

This seminar series, organised by Professor Mark Boyle, Dr. John O’Connor, and Seán Ó Foghlú of the Maynooth University Social Sciences Institute in conjunction with the Maynooth University Research Development Office, provides a forum for academics and policy-makers to share insights, challenges, and lessons learned from working together.

Tea/coffee will be available before the event.
The seminar will be held in hybrid format: in person at MUSSI (top floor, Iontas Building) and online.
